Rules & Info for Play-Groups & Play-Dates
Play-groups & Play-dates are where members can play with each other's pets and host or participate in "parties, sleep-overs", etc. The 'host' of the play-group posts their e-mail and the events that will take place in their game, and then the participants in the group post the form and send over their pets. The host will then go and play with different activities for their pets, and send them back the following day with pictures, or whatever they plan on doing with their play-group. Afterwords, they host deletes the other member's e-mails and petz files so that they no longer have their pets.

Dealing with Puppies & Kittens
If either your dog/cat, or another member's dog/cat have puppies, you'll have to figure out what will happen with the puppies. The easiest way to avoid this is to have users not wanting puppies to spay/neuter their pets before they send them over. Otherwise, you have to deal with the possibility of a pet you're hosting becoming pregnant. This should be sorted out with the two members that it is dealing with. For a general rule of thumb, it's better to post what you will do on the first post of your play-group thread, and have a plan ahead of time. Maybe allow the owner of the mother to keep the puppies, split them equally (petz5), or create a plan for that situation. While it could be very unlikely for it to happen, it still can happen!
Sending & Recieving Pets
If you do not want people to send their petz right away, give them a certain date that you'd like to recieve them for the party. Give them the option to send them right away, or the date of the party - it's all up to you. Just make sure to delete all copies & e-mails containing their pets once the play-group is done, and send them back their pets. Make sure you're aware of extra files they may need.

Rules
- State the petz version the play-group is being held for in the title of your thread.
- You MUST remove all copies of the petz from your game after the play-group is finished. Anyone caught using play-groups as a way to steal other people's pets will never be able to host OR participate in a playgroup again. Depending on your past history of warning levels, karma, etc, it can lead to being banned from the forum.
- You may not start a playgroup if you have negative karma. This rule is being placed in order to protect users from having their petz taken from a member known to be untrustworthy, etc. Members with negative karma, may however, participate in some one else's playgroup. They just can't start their own.
- Make sure the host is aware of any extra files they may need if you are sending them a pet that requires external textures & breedfiles. As a host, if you only want OB/OW breeds, make sure to state so in your thread!
- As a participant in a play-group, if you don't want to deal with the possibility of your pet having puppies/kittens, then make sure to spay or neuter your petz!
- State the number of pets before the play-group is filled, and how many pets people may enter per person if there is a certain maximum you wish to contain.
- You may also post here if you'd like some one to "pet-sit" a few of your petz when you want to go on vacation, etc.
Example Play-Date/Group Activities
Here are just some examples of things you can do with your pet while they arive - different activites that you can do with your play-date or play-group!
- Go hunting - Take your petz out to a feild and use various downloaded (or origanal) stuffed toys or "real" animals to go hunting. See how much "game" your pet can catch, and take some pictures.
- Feast & Eating - When you have petz over, you have to make sure they're being taken after! Bringing out some treats, food bowls, etc, are good to do every once in a while so your pets stay healthy and well-fed. Some pets are picky, though, so make sure they get enough to eat!
- Dress-Up - Putting pets into clothes to match the theme of the play-group is also a fun idea. To make pets "dress themselves" you can place autoroll balls in the clothes closet and spread many clothes around on the floor. What kind of outfit will your petz come up with?
- Fetching & Toys - Take out some toys, and let them play together! Maybe have them compete for the frisbee, let them play catch, etc.
- Pictures & Profiles - After some one sends their pet over, I'm sure they'd enjoy recieving something in return! Maybe take some pictures of their times together, logg some information and stories in their petz profile (but be careful not to change anything they currently have in their petz profile), and create fun little banners of their fun times. If your playgroup lasts more than 1 day, maybe include daily updates of what's going on, so they know their pet is in good hands.
- Baths - Have your pets been outside a lot and gotten dirty? Make sure you get them cleaned up before they're sent home!
- Group Gardening - Is your backyard boring and need a little re-touching? Bring out those seeds, gardening equipment, and let your pets spread around the seeds to create a fun little garden. Let everyone who participated in the play-group see the garden, and what their pet helped to create!
- Paint-Can - It's always fun to get messy and play with the paint. Maybe take out the paint bucket, and have the pets change colors. Make sure to get them all washed up before they head home!
- Care for Sick Pets - Make sure to keep an eye out for sick pets that could pass on their sickness to other pets. If a pet seems sick - maybe give them some meds.
- Birthday Parties - For your pet's birthday; or maybe your own!
- Petz "Wedding" - When your two petz decide to tie the knot. (lol). Cake for everyone!
- Holidays - Create a themed party for the holidays! Christmas, halloween, thanksgiving, the possibilities are endless. There are tons of toys to download at various sites for the holidays, so you may want to look for those, too.
- Hunting Trip - Take your pets hunting, and see what they come back with.
- Gardening Group - Start a group to create the prefect garden.
- Baby (Puppy/Kitten) Shower - Is your dog or cat expecting puppies? Have a party for them before their pup/kit is due!
- Cook-Out - There's nothing wrong with having a good-out cook-out. Have some pets over, and have a feast.
